    Our Mission:
    In partnership with Goochland County, we promote animal welfare through financial support, innovative programs, and community engagement.

    Our Vision:
    A community that provides compassionate care for all animals and the people who love them.

    Our Programs:
    Dr. Lori Elliot Medical Fund
    Goochland Pet Lovers has an established Medical Fund to provide supplemental financial support for those with medical conditions that require extra care, time and attention at the Goochland Animal Shelter. As every animal is unique, these conditions may vary from simple wounds, broken bones, illness, heartworm disease, emergency surgery, behavioral modification programs, and much more. Additionally, we cover the expenses to ensure every animal is spayed or neutered to address the issue of animal overpopulation in our county.

    Good Neighbor Fund
    The Good Neighbor Fund (GNF) was established in September 2020. This program was formed to strengthen families and individuals in our community by providing no-cost vet care for Goochland and Powhatan residents allowing families to keep their pets healthy and in their homes.

    We are a nonprofit 501 (C )3 organization and we welcome your support to help us help pets in-need.
