The July Women In Business Speaker is Taska Parker. Her topic of discussion: The differences in business structures and how the changes in the tax codes may impact businesses and individuals this year.
Taska Parker has been a CPA for 18 years and in the accounting industry for more than 30 years. She started her accounting career in private accounting, made the move to public accounting, and then subsequently started her own CPA firm. The experience with both private and public accounting as well as being a business owner herself, gives her a unique perspective when working with clients and their accounting departments.
Education, Professional Memberships & CPA Licenses
She is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from VCU.
Client Focus
She focuses on small to medium sized businesses in industries including real estate, health care, retail, restaurants, wholesale, manufacturing, and professional services. She works closely with every client helping them determine their goals and dreams, and then partners with them to ensure their financial results stay on target with those goals.
