NEW COVID 19 Rules/Regulations/Standards/Training for Businesses

COVID Rules and Regulations/SOPs are put in place and looks like they are here to stay for a while.  It is extremely important that you have all of your documentation and signs in place.  If you need assistance with this, please let us know.  We are here for you and want to help if we can.  While these rules are not governed by the police or sheriff, they are governed by the CDC, Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, and OSHA.  Violations can be reported by disgruntle workers and unhappy customers.  Either way it will be bad for business.

Another set of guidelines have been put in place via the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry.  I have read the overview and skimmed through the publication.  There are new requirements and training requirements that all businesses need to complete.  I heard about the regulations via an attorney that I follow on Facebook and then when speaking with others learned more.  Started digging and found more information on all of this.  I would love to be able to help you understand all of this but it is more than I can wrap my brain around since I am not a lawyer.  I do understand that if you don't follow these guidelines, it could affect your business.  So, I reached out to our very own Atty Eric Perkins and he put me in touch with Atty Tricia Dunlap.  They have both given me lots of insight and Atty Tricia Dunlap has agreed to do a Lunch and Learn with us on the 8th of October to share the regulations and consequences that could occur if not adhered to.

Register today for the Lunch & Learn via the link https://www.goochlandchamber.org/events/details/lunch-learn-zoom-meeting-6722.  To get you ready for the Lunch and Learn, here is the link to the Emergency Temporary Standard https://www.doli.virginia.gov/covid-19-outreach-education-and-training/.  For those registered for this free event, you will be sent the Zoom link and two handouts from Dunlap Law that will make all of this much easier.
