Got a great idea for a new business?
Want to win some money for your idea and at the same time receive professional mentoring and publicity support to help make the idea a reality?
Richmond SCORE, a chapter of the national non-profit mentoring organization, in partnership with VA Bio+Tech Park and Richmond Times-Dispatch, is conducting its annual competition, SCOREcard 2018 Pitch Competition, which seeks to identify and reward our community's best start-up business models.
Local entrepreneurs within the Richmond metropolitan area that are start-ups or in business less than one year, as defined by when they received their first dollar of revenue, are invited to pitch their business model ideas to a panel of expert judges, comprised of local corporate and academic leaders. Not only will the competition winners receive cash prizes of up to $5,000 but all entrants will have the opportunity to personally connect with a SCORE mentor, who will help them fine tune their entry and provide mentoring advice on starting and growing their business.
