Piedmont Communications, Inc, owners of local radio station “Classic Hits’ 105.5 & 95.3 WOJL-SAM FM are pleased to announce the addition of veteran central Virginia radio announcer and regional classic rock music radio legend Jay Lopez to its on-air staff.

Lopez , who has been an award winning radio host in the central Virginia region for over 35 years, will host ‘Classic Hits’ 105.5 & 95.3 SAM FM’s daily morning radio show from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Monday through Friday, as well as several hours each weekend.

“105.5 and 95.3 SAM FM’s popular and fast growing classic hits radio format – consisting of classic rock and pop hits from the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s – and Jay Lopez are a natural fit”, said station general manager Kevin Dalton. “No one else in Virginia is more synonymous with the great music SAM FM plays, and so many of us grew up with, than Jay. His combination of experience and expertise with the music, and intimate knowledge of what make central Virginia tick day to day, is unparalleled. We are thrilled to have him join our radio family”.
