I. WELCOME WAGON
Availability: Open throughout the year
Cost to participate: $50.00 for every 200 items (Only 25¢ per household!)
Description:
The Welcome Wagon is a throughout the year program for members to reach new property owners on the community. Promotional items are stuffed and hand delivered in a “go-green” re-useable bag by the Marketing & Communications Committee members. The “Welcome” bag will include the Chamber’s Directory, county map, tourism brochure and helpful County Information.
Suggested items could include but are not limited to: coupons, brochures, post cards, magnetic clips, note pads, letter opener, hand sanitizer, pens, pencils, ruler, CD’s, sunglasses, glass case, etc…
Members are responsible for the delivery of the 200 items to the Chamber office, together, with the $50.00 payment. You may mail your items and payment to: Goochland County Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 123, Goochland, VA 23063.

II. GOOCHLAND DIRECTORY
Availability: Once per year by the September deadline for printing of the next year’s directory.
Cost to participate: Vary by size of ad and deadline met. Click here for directory deadlines & prices.
Description:
The Goochland Directory is an annual publication which contains the Verizon White Pages with listing of residents; County & State Government, Community Resources information and listing Pages; Yellow Pages with listing by category of all Chamber Members and classified advertising of supportive members. We print 5000 books which are made available to the public through various business locations including the Goochland Chamber office. In addition, the Directory is also delivered to all new property owners as part of the Welcome Wagon. Prices for advertising on the Directory include ad publication on the Goochland Yellow Pages website.

III. ANNUAL SPRING GOLF TOURNAMENT
Availability: Once per year – May
Cost to participate: Vary per sponsorship chosen ($150 – $1000); Entry to Play $$$
Description:
The main beneficiary of this tournament is the Goochland Chamber of Commerce, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Goochland High School 2010 graduates in the form of scholarships. Format & Prizes: Four-person team, Captain’s Choice. Prizes are given to winning teams for individual Longest Drives (60 years + and under 60 years, men), Individual Longest Drive (women), closest to the pin on all Par 3s, and a hole-in-one cash prize on number 11 (first hole-in-one only). Hole sponsors have the opportunity to set-up promotional tables at sponsored holes - (MUST provide own table)

IV. A TASTE OF GOOCHLAND BUSINESS EXPO
Availability: Once per year – September or October.
Cost to participate: Exhibits start at $90 for members
Description:
The Taste of Goochland Business Expo is an annal Fall event which attracts approximately 600 local attendees and 70 vendors. It is open for the public to attend at no cost. Members have the opportunity to participate and promote their business with an exhibit as vendors and/or sponsors. The event takes place at the Boy Scouts of America camp place on Maidens Road. In-door spaces are limited and can be booked as early as 12 months ahead. We provide a single 3 x 6 table with 2 chairs. Electricity is provided upon request at no extra charge. Festivities include: food, live music and children’s activities.

VI. GOOCHLAND’S GOT IT!
Coming soon:
2010 will mark the beginning of a new “buy local” campaign sponsored by the Goochland County Chamber of Commerce. And to help us let everyone know that “Goochland’s Got It” - we will have the graphic design students of GHS compete for the most creative design which will be used to spread the message on marketing materials. The winner will be rewarded with a prize and a press release with the local media. Stay tuned for more about “Goochland’s Got It!”
VII. MEMBER to MEMBER DISCOUNTS
Availability: Open throughout the year
Cost to participate: There is no cost for members to participate or engage in this program.
Description: Members have the opportunity to provide special offers or discounts of their products or services to other Chamber Members. Participating businesses are listed on the Chamber website. It is the business responsibility to provide details and information about their offers to the soliciting members when contacted.
VIII. NEWSLETTER ADVERTISMENT
Availability: Open throughout the year
Cost to Participate: $100 For 4 business-card-size printed ads in the Goldrush (over 300 mailed) AND 12 impressions of the same ad in the eNewsletter (emailed to over 200 addresses). Download Order Form.
Description: Businesses have the opportunity to advertise in the Quarterly Goldrush and the Monthly eNewsletter . Businesses are responsible for submitting their own art work of the ad or provide a copy of their business card.
