Good-bye and Thank you Doris!

Saying good-bye is never easy, espcially to a person as influential as Doris. But we are greatful to have had her for the time she served as our director, mentor and friend. The Chamber is what it is today because of her and we look forward to much success as we grow!

Words can not express what a great lady you are and how much you have done for the Chamber and Goochland County. Enjoy your retirement, get some well deserved rest and have fun. Stay in touch. Love, Gwen
Doris – Thanks for all that you have done to spearhead the Chamber into new waters – You have been a great leader and organizer -The Chamber has grown under your leadership and you have been an inspiration for the business community – Although a new member you know how much I enjoy the social networking at the business after hours – Bob Hammond

What a beautiful spirit and soul Doris has shown all of us! So hardworking but always has a smile on her face, willing to help and always happy to see us. She is the type of person we strive to be like and i have learned so much from her!

Doris is one of the MOST beautiful and amazing women I have ever known. She has been a wonderful friend, a “partner in crime”
and above all an incredible inspiration to me, personally. To Goochland County and our business community here, she has been an invaluable resource… one that will be missed so very much.
Whomever the next act is to follow in her foot steps, they are sure going to have a really gorgeous set of pumps to fill!! =)
Doris, take good care of you and family, and breath sister! Now maybe your sweet self will have time to actually SIT DOWN for meals! Like some of the lunch meetups we need to schedule…

You have definitely made the Chamber of Commerce a relevant and vital part of Goochland County. But above that, your friendship and kindness has been an influence to all of us. Whenever a new member joins, you go out of your way to make them feel welcome and to let them know they are among friends. We will miss you!! May God bless you and your family.

I have only known you for a short time but the tireless work I saw you do was unending. You were always there with your beautiful smile and words of encouragement to all that needed someone to believe in them. Thank you so much for all you did for me personally and for all the joy you added to lives you’ve touched in this county. You will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Take time to smell the roses and enjoy all your sweet successes. God’s blessing to you everyday of your life.

Doris – words cannot describe what an inspiration you have been to me. You have always been there for not only me, but for anyone in the community who needs business advice. Your personality and charm, coupled with your cheerful nature and keen business sense – not to mention your incredible flair for fashion, will be sorely missed.
You have done so much for others, and now you are leaving to help one of the most important people in your life – how lucky your father is to have you as a daughter!
