Chamber’s 31st Annual Dinner

Discover Goochland “Embracing the Spirit” was the theme for the Chamber’s 31st Annual Dinner meeting held at the Hermitage Country Club on January 28th. Guest speaker Bob Deans talked about the significance of the 40 miles of the James River that runs through Goochland County.

Chamber launches new campaign, GOOCHLAND’S GOT IT! Additional details will be announced. The Chamber is currently working with the Goochland High School graphics art department to come up with a logo and other opportunities to promote Goochland.

Executive Director Doris Elderman thanked three Chamber Board Members whose terms expired in 2009 Pictured left to right: Bonnie Creasy, Classic In-surance Services; Dan Rogers, Virginia Properties and Marshall Bowden, Land-vest. They each gave a lot of time, energy and knowledge to the Chamber.

It was a difficult task to say goodbye to Wayne Dementi, who served as the Chamber President for 2008 and 2009. “It has been a remarkable journey and you will be missed, stated Elderman.
